Ian felt that art is all around us. At various times in our life, whether talking on the phone or day-dreaming, we have all picked up a pencil and drawn images ranging from "stick men" to three-dimensional cubes to portraits of our childrens. Art. We pick up the paper every day and we go to the comics page. Art. Art is all around us, it is just waiting to be seen as such, something Ian firmly believed in.

As a tribute to Ian, we are trying to consolidate Ian's work on his website. So just a gentle request: if you own one of Ian's paintings, sculptures or sketches (which is not displayed on the site), would it be possible for you to take a good picture of it and to email us the picture at info@ianmcdougall.ca? We'd like to post them.
